A Small Contribution

Yesterday I had the honor of attending a silent auction called The Silent Samaritan Luncheon where I donated a necklace and earring set. The silent auction was hosted by the Samaritan Counseling Center of Albuquerque. This was a fundraising event to help women with limited resources receive access to counseling services. The event was sold out and had surpassed the number of attendants from last year’s fundraising events. There were a lot of small businesses in the Albuquerque area that donated their products, services, and time to the auction. Those proceeds will be turned over to cover the cost of counseling services for women who can’t afford it.

The set I donated received many compliments and five bids. It was a beaded piece with a glass teardrop detail and matching earrings.

I won a beautiful bouquet of flowers that served as the centerpiece at the table I sat at. The flowers were donated by the Flower Gallery in Albuquerque.
